Zack Snyder Weighs in on Batman Debate With Suggestive Photo
In the world of random debates that pop up online, a conversation surrounding Batman sex was not expected. However, that’s where we are. The debate began to rage due to the r-rated Harley Quinn show on HBO Max.
Executive producer and co-creator of the show Justin Halpern revealed to Variety that DC wouldn’t let them take the Batman into sexual directions.
“It’s incredibly gratifying and free to be using characters that are considered villains because you just have so much more leeway,” Halpern said.
“A perfect example of that is in this third season of ‘Harley,’ we had a moment where Batman was going down on Catwoman.”
“And DC was like, ‘You can’t do that. You absolutely cannot do that.’ They’re like, ‘Heroes don’t do that.’
“So, we said, ‘Are you saying heroes are just selfish lovers?’ They were like, ‘No, it’s that we sell consumer toys for heroes. It’s hard to sell a toy if Batman is also going down on someone.’”
This led many to weigh in on whether or not Batman would ever go down on a lover and even elicited a response from former Batman actor Val Kilmer.

While nobody can give a definitive answer, Justice League director Zack Snyder made his stance very clear on the subject by posting a racy photo of Batman going down on Catwoman.

Snyder has always been a fan of hypersexualized scenes in his films so it makes sense that he’d be on the side of Batman would go down on his lover. While it’s easy to make fun of DC for being against the idea, you can’t really blame them. Marvel and Disney aren’t about to Hulk going down on She-Hulk. While Batman has always been a more mature character, he still appeals to kids and DC needs to protect that branding. What goes on in Batman’s bedroom will remain private.
