Did Anya Taylor-Joy Profile Provide New Update on ‘Nosferatu’ Remake?

Anya Taylor-Joy has quickly become one of the hottest names in Hollywood. She’s already starred in a number of notable movies and isn’t slowing down with upcoming projects Last Night In Soho and Furiosa. The 25-year-old star has a very busy schedule but hasn’t forgotten Robert Eggers, who gave her first notable role in 2015’s The Witch. She’s set to star in his next film The Northman and could be planning to work him a third time.

It was announced that Eggers was going to remake the iconic Nosferatu years ago. Taylor-Joy was reportedly cast in the film all the way back in 2017. Instead of making that film, Eggers went on to make The Lighthouse and is now gearing up to release the aforementioned The Northman. We haven’t really heard anything about Nosferatu in years but we may have a bit of an update.

Glenn Whipp of the Los Angeles Times recently did a profile on Taylor-Joy and mentioned Nosferatu as one of the many projects she’s currently working on. It seems odd that Whipp would randomly bring that up unless it was actually being worked on. Obviously, it’s nothing super tangible but it could be a good sign that the project is back on track after being put on the back burner for years. Eggers is a hot name in Hollywood and if The Northman is a big success, there’s no reason to believe he won’t get the green light to finally make Nosferatu.
