DC Producer Offers Latest Insight on Possible ‘Justice League’ Sequel

Even with Zack Snyder’s Justice League being a runaway hit with critics and fans, there’s been little clarity on what could happen with DC’s Snyderverse. Zack Snyder himself has come out and essentially said that it’s dead, but crazier things have happened. While DC has seen an uptick in quality, the studio seems rather aimless.

Right now, it appears that they are just doing solo movies and seeing what happens. That’s all well and good but fans are going to want another Justice League movie at some point. Charles Roven, who has produced most of the DC films gave an update on what we could see in the future and when we might be getting another Justice League film.

“If it was a Batman-involved product like Batman v Superman or Justice League, I would be involved in those,” Roven told The Hollywood Reporter. “Suicide Squad, I would be involved in those, up until a certain amount. And that is kind of where we are. […] But [I] still have an affiliation with some more Suicide Squads, which I’m thrilled about. I hope James will, when he’s got some time, come back and see if he’s going to do another one of these, because he did such an amazing job. I would definitely be a part of that. Probably another Justice League, although I think that’s a number of years away.”

Roven doesn’t sound particularly confident that we’ll get another Justice League movie anytime soon. If DC’s next several films do well, we’ll likely be a lot closer to getting a follow-up. However, it remains to be seen if they’ll follow Snyder’s story or start fresh.
