WB Games Montreal’s ‘Gotham Knights’ Delayed to 2022

WB Games Montreal’s highly anticipated Batman game “Gotham Knights” has unfortunately been delayed until 2022. In a tweet from the developer, WB Games Montreal says that the delay is so that they can “deliver the best possible experience for players.” The game was originally supposed to release sometime in 2021. While it’s disappointing that another game release has been pushed back to next year, extra time in the oven gives WB Games Montreal more time to polish “Gotham Knights” into a hit that lives up to the hype.

“Gotham Knights” is an open-world cooperative Batman game in which players can choose to play as either Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, or Redhood, each boasting their own unique playstyles. Director Patrick Redding has said that Gotham City will be a true open world experience, meaning players will be able to freely explore the city as they see fit. One interesting twist in “Gotham Knights” is that Batman is dead, leaving the task of crime fighting to his allies. We’ll be excited to experience a new take on Gotham City when “Gotham Knights” releases next year.
