James Gunn Drops Gory New Trailer for ‘The Suicide Squad’ [WATCH]
With “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” finally released, Warner Bros. can now turn the focus to some of the other DC projects they have cooking up. Though David Ayer’s “Suicide Squad” was critically panned back in 2016, they’re taking another stab at the property. James Gunn of “Guardians of the Galaxy” fame is at the helm of the latest film. The acclaimed director took to Twitter to drop a new trailer for “The Suicide Squad” and it’s every bit as gory as you’d expect.
Our first trailer. Warning: gore & adult language & supervillains & adventure & heart. Can't wait to see it in a theater with all of you on August 6. #TheSuicideSquad pic.twitter.com/HdqlGVP0lB

Gunn also dropped an exciting nugget shortly after releasing the trailer. He revealed that action legend Sylvester Stallone will be playing King Shark.

Based on the trailer, it’s clear that Gunn is sticking with his typical style of comedy. However, now that he’s away from Marvel for this one movie, he can get a little more creative and mature.
The Suicide Squad is set to release on August 6th and will be rated R.
