‘Justice League’ Writer Blasts Joss Whedon

With Zack Snyder’s Justice League finally released, there’s been a lot more information coming out about the trouble production of the original cut. Joss Whedon of Avengers fame was hired to take over the project after Snyder had to step away after a family tragedy. Based on what’s come out in the last year or so, that was obviously a horrible mistake. Whedon has been accused of many questionable things.

Chris Terrio was the man who was originally hired to write Justice League. He did some work on Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, but had a much bigger role on Justice League. Whedon is a writer himself so once he was hired, he butchered Terrio’s script. Terrio has been really quiet over the last few years about Justice League, but he’s finally speaking out. He’s clearly not a fan of what Whedon did.

“Prints had already been struck or hard drives burned or however they deliver movies these days,” Terrio told Vanity Fair. “The elements were on their way, and to remove my name they would have had to restrike the prints or redo the digital copies, and the film could be delayed. It would be an international scandal and news story. So I shut up and I said nothing publicly. I’ve never said anything about Justice League since then, but the movie doesn’t represent my work.”

The Vanity Fair piece is very long and insightful. It’s definitely worth a read if you want more insight on what happened with BvS and Justice League.
