Next PlayStation State of Play Will Showcase Highly Anticipated Sequel

The early days of the PlayStation 5 haven’t been all too exciting quite yet. Sony has yet to drop any highly anticipated exclusive titles outside of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which is a glorified add-on. However, things should change later in the year as there are some big releases planned.

Perhaps the most anticipated game of the year is Horizon Forbidden West. Horizon Zero Dawn was a huge success for Sony and the sequel figures to be bigger and better. There hasn’t been an update on the game in some time but that’s changing soon. Sony announced recently that they’ll be showcasing the game very soon.

“Nearly eleven months ago we showed you the very first glimpse of Horizon Forbidden West during the PlayStation 5 Showcase, and now we’re excited to show more! This Thursday, May 27 join us on a very special journey into new and uncharted lands,” Mathijs de Jonge wrote on PlayStation’s blog.

The event will start at 9AM Pacific Time / 5PM BST / 6PM CEST.

According to the announcement, they’ll be 14 minutes of brand new in-game footage showcased. As of right now, there’s no released date planned for Horizon Forbidden West, but it’s pretty safe to assume that will be revealed at the end of the State of Play. You can watch the event at this link.
