‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ to Begin Filming This Year
James Gunn is certainly a workhorse. The acclaimed writer-director has to be feeling good after the first trailer for “The Suicide Squad” was recently released. Nobody would blame him if he took it easy this year with such a big film coming out. Well, that’s not how Gunn does things.
Once he’s all wrapped up with “The Suicide Squad,” it looks like Gunn will be heading right to the set of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.” The director himself confirmed the news.
This year.

For those who don’t remember, Gunn was actually fired from the film due to the resurfacing of many offensive tweets. Once things cooled down, Disney decided to bring him back aboard. That should be good news for Marvel fans as Gunn has a uniquely creative voice and his films certainly stand out when compared to other films in the MCU. Barring any setbacks, the plan is for “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” to come out in 2023 so it’s still going to be a while.
