The massive patch notes can be viewed on the official “Cyberpunk 2077” website, but here are a few notable changes:
- The NCPD spawn radius for when the player commits a crime has been increased.
- Player can no longer cancel fall damage by performing a slide action when about to fall from greater heights
- If V picks up a body containing a quest item, the item will now be automatically added to the inventory.
- The item for resetting perk points (TABULA E-RASA) can now be bought at a reduced price.
- Getting knocked down by vehicles no longer kills V after unlocking ‘The Rock” perk.
- Extending the sliding ladder won’t result in player’s death if they are below it.
- Fixed multiple issues where players could get stuck in location geometry.
- Fixed multiple issues where players could reach unintended areas, potentially blocking quest progression.
“And many more,” the last line of the patch notes reads. Along with fixing numerous issues that could lock a player out from continuing the story or quests, Patch 1.2 also targets crash-related bugs across all platforms.
Despite all of the hype surrounding “Cyberpunk 2077’s” release, the game has been plagued by nothing but problems. Multiple delays, poor performance and game-breaking bugs turned one of the most highly anticipated games of the last few years into an experience that fell flat a few feet from the finish line. Through it all, CD Projekt Red continues their work to polish “Cyberpunk 2077” into the game that many were expecting on its initial release.
Patch 1.2 marks the second major update on “Cyberpunk 2077’s” post-launch roadmap. While no further details have been released on the game’s next update, CD Projekt Red looks to release several free DLC and a next-gen console update before the end of the year.
