Capcom Announces Details for Its E3 Showcase
Capcom has revealed further information on what to expect from its E3 2021 showcase on Monday, June 14th. The showcase begins at 2:30 PM PST / 5:30 PM EST / 10:30 PM UK.
In a recent tweet from Capcom, the developer confirmed that they would be showing off The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, Monster Hunter Stories 2, Monster Hunter Rise, and Resident Evil Village during the showcase. It’s safe to assume that we’ll also be receiving new announcements about upcoming projects.
2021 has been a good year for Capcom so far with the incredibly successful launches of Resident Evil Village and Monster Hunter Rise. Both games have become critically-acclaimed entries to their respective franchises and have sold nearly 12 million copies combined. However, Capcom has yet to reveal how they plan to close out the rest of the year. Capcom has not announced their plains for after Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin and The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles release later this July.
E3 looks to be a perfect time for Capcom to reveal their plans for the remainder of 2021. After the positive release of Ghosts ‘n Goblins Ressurection back in February 2021, many fans are hoping that Capcom will begin remaking beloved older titles. If those leaks from late 2020 have any truth to them, then there’s a good chance we’ll be seeing more of these remakes in the near future.
While we’re still unsure of what kind of announcements we’ll get during the showcase, we’re excited to see what the company has in store for us. Whether it be a new project or the revival of an old franchise, let’s hope that Capcom doesn’t let the steam from Resident Evil Village or Monster Hunter Rise’s releases fizzle out.
