Michael Keaton Reprising Batman Role Confirmed: Report
The production for The Flash has been rocky, to say the least. They’ve gone through multiple directors and it looked like they may have had to recast the lead role after Ezra Miller got into some hot water. With It director Andy Muschietti on board, it seems like the production has some stability and the movie is sounding like a wild wide.
There’s been speculation for months that Michael Keaton will be reprising his role as Batman but nothing has been confirmed. Well, that’s finally changed. According to EW, Keaton is officially on board to play the caped crusader once again. The Flash will also feature Ben Affleck’s Batman while it appears Christian Bale and Robert Pattinson will sit this one out.
The film appears heavily influenced by the Flashpoint storyline that involves the Flash learning how to manipulate the speed force to travel through other dimensions. That would explain why they’ll be multiple Batmans in one move. Personally, I’m a little iffy on Muschietti. I wasn’t a fan of Mama and while I did like the first It movie, It: Chapter 2 was not very good. However, horror movie directors have had success in the world of superheroes. Just look at James Wan, Sam Raimi and David F. Sandberg.
