Stephen King Reveals Surprising Review of ‘The Flash’

The DCEU has had a rough go of it lately. “Black Adam” and “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” were two of the biggest superhero movie flops of the last decade. James Gunn is now manning the ship as the head of DC and has some big plans. However, he still has to deal with a number of films that were in production before he arrived.

The biggest one left on the slate is “The Flash,” which has gone through multiple directors since there were plans for the film in 2013. A decade later, Andy Muschietti’s vision is finally going to hit the big screen on June 16. While the recent DC projects have been unmitigated disasters, Gunn may finally have a hit on his hands. “The Flash” has been getting rave reviews from people who have seen it. Acclaimed writer Stephen King hasn’t dipped his toes much into the superhero fray but he has a relationship with Muschietti from when he directed an adaptation of King’s book “It.” King took to his Twitter account to praise “The Flash” as a “heartfelt, funny and eye-popping” film. He also added that he “loved it.”

King isn’t an expert on comic book movies but his praise should have fans excited. It’s looking like “The Flash” is the movie that could finally turn things around for the newly-minted DC Studios.
