Beloved PS4 Game Is Getting Surprise PS5 Update

Fans of the 2018 PS4 game “God of War” will be excited to hear that the game will be receiving a free PS5 update soon. Starting Tuesday, February 2nd, players will be able to download a patch that allows them to take full advantage of the PS5’s increased performance with an enhanced graphical update.

According to a blog post by Santa Monica Studio, the PS4 Pro lets you choose between two graphics modes that favor either performance or resolution. With the free patch coming tomorrow, these current graphic options will be replaced with a new setting that offers both increased performance and resolution. The new mode will be capable of running the game at 60 FPS in 4K Checkerboard resolution at 2160p. The blog also features two in-game screenshots that showcase the enhanced graphics.
