Bethesda Drops Major News on ‘Fallout 76’ Updates

There have been few video game drops that were more disastrous than Fallout 76. When Bethesda released the game, it was borderline unplayable and riddled with bugs. The massive online open-world experiment got off to the worst start possible.

However, we’re now three years removed from the launch, and Fallout 76 has now become a really fun game. Bethesda has dropped many free updates that not only improve the gameplay but also continuously add new storylines and missions. It doesn’t appear that they’re done adding anytime soon. During E3, Bethesda dropped a trailer for a new update titled Steel Reign, which will add more story content surrounding the Brotherhood of Steel. Check it out below.

Based on the trailer, the storyline will follow the events following Steel Dawn, which was a previous update surrounding the Brotherhood of Steel. It’s refreshing to hear that they’ll be continuing that story as it felt largely unresolved. The update will drop on July 7th, 2021.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!

Steel Reign wasn’t the only piece of Fallout 76 news to drop at E3. Bethesda also announced that players will be headed to Pittsburgh in the future in an update titled The Pitt.

For longtime Fallout fans, you’ll remember that there was a piece of DLC for Fallout 3 called The Pitt that also took you to Pittsburgh. Little is known about what the update will look like but it won’t be out until 2022.
